2. Promoting a culture of democracy, social justice, and peace
- Learn about international social, political, and environmental issues, and recognize how they are interconnected
- Advocate for the basic human right to clean, fresh air and water
- Respect everyone's right to free speech and opinion
- Support efforts to use non-violence in conflict resolution
- Encourage my workplace to minimize damage to human and natural environments.
- Invest my savings in a socially and environmentally responsible manner
- Be an advocate for free and liberalized trade for the betterment of all peoples and nations
3. Reducing our careless attitude to environmental and human resources
- Be a campaigner for sexual abstinence as the panacea for HIV/AIDS
- Encourage the introduction of moral values curriculum to our schools, churches, mosques and general lifestyle
- Resist the urge to buy things I don't need and understand the environmental and social impacts of things I do
- Recycle and buy items that are made from recycled materials where possible
- Travel by foot, bike, carpool or train to reduce environmental pollution
- Learn how things are made, and where they come from, and to support technology that is less harmful
